Smooth Ops started in our own kitchens. Our co-founders pair a strong programming background and an MBA from the University of Southern California with more than a decade in the restaurant industry, together opening a dozen locations across California, Hawaii, and internationally.

Running multi-unit, multi-state, and international operations meant one thing became a survival skill: automate everything that doesn't need a human. We built systems to cost every plate, catch vendor price changes, reconcile cash, and keep every location on the same page, so the team could spend time on food and guests instead of spreadsheets.
